A group of MPs, led by Newport West MP Paul Flynn, have slammed a plan to build the £25billion nuclear power station at Hinkley Point, as opposition to the Government's nuclear energy policy gathers steam. An Early Day Motion that calls the plan to build at Hinkley Point 'an act of desperation' has already been signed by 14 MPs. You can ask your MP to sign the motion (EDM 619 - CONTINGENT LIABILITY RELATING TO HINKLEY POINT C POWER STATION) here, where more information can be found.

You can find your MP here. When contacting your MP always include your address to verify that you live in their constituency. It may well be that you KNOW your MP will not sign this EDM. Nonetheless, you can still ask them. They need to know if their constituents care about a motion.
